Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Claude Code Pirates.

What is Claude Code Pirates?
A community and training platform for people building real software with Claude Code — Anthropic's AI coding tool. We share use cases, build logs, tutorials, copy-paste projects, and run live cohort training. The community lives on Skool; the training and content live here.
Do I need coding experience?
No. Most of our members are "vibe coders" — people who direct AI instead of writing syntax from scratch. If you can describe what you want, Claude Code can help you build it.
Is it really free?
The Skool community is free to join. We also offer paid training — like the 4-week live cohort — for people who want structured instruction, accountability, and a guaranteed outcome. Both are real; they serve different needs.
What's the difference between the free community and the paid cohort?
The Skool community gives you content, classrooms, and a crew. The paid cohort ($497) adds a 4-week deadline, live build sessions twice a week, direct office hours, and a refund-backed promise that you'll ship a working tool. Different people need different things.
What is Claude Code?
Claude Code is Anthropic's official CLI tool that lets you build software by describing what you want in natural language. It reads your files, writes code, runs commands, and manages entire projects. Think of it as a developer partner that lives in your terminal.
What do I need to get started?
A computer (Mac, Windows, or Linux), an Anthropic API key (or Claude Pro/Max subscription), and a willingness to try things. Our "Setting Sail" classroom walks you through everything else.
What are "copy-paste builds"?
Ready-to-use prompts and project templates that produce working results. No 45-minute setup tutorial. Copy the prompt, paste it into Claude Code, and you have a working thing. We test them before sharing.
When are the Thursday meetings?
Weekly, every Thursday. Times are posted in the Skool community. Recordings are available in the Thursday Meetings classroom for anyone who can't make it live.
How do I join?
Click "Join the Crew" anywhere on this site. It takes you to our Skool community. Create a free account, introduce yourself, and start building.
